Fast Friday Drags + Real Street Champs, 8th May (DRAGS all night) – lets do this!


This Fast Friday event on 8th May 2026 features an all night Drags focus – PLUS Round 8 of the IHRA Real Street championship AND our usual drags night with a new eliminations competition as well.
Everyone is welcome to race their car or bike as usual, also compete in Real Street (if car meets the rules: ) or Street Grudge class as part of our eliminations on the night.
Pre Entry is HIGHLY advised for this event as it will be a sellout!is a new class dedicated to genuine off-Street vehicles that still require competing vehicles to have Full Street Registration and Australian Compliance.
All competitors may make qualify/test between 6pm and 8pm, with Eliminations commencing at 8:30pm. We will not be waiting for anyone, and if you are not in the lanes to run Eliminations – you miss out!
Both Real Street and Street Grudge eliminations will be run on a Full Tree, Real Street is run as a Dial Your Own format, and the Grudge class will be “Heads-up”. All winners will be held up on the return road to keep running, till ther is 1.
Real Street class caters for vehicles built (after 2003) or for cars equipped with Air Bags, Four wheel disc brakes to compete at National Championship series and or select events throughout the year.
Accepted vehicles prior to 2003 – Includes: All vehicles with 4 wheel disc brakes and air bag/s (Australian Compliance). Full Rules at : Real Street Rules
The winner of the Real Street clas will be taking home the prestigeous IHRA Iron Man trophy .
The Street Grudge class winner will take home a cool $500cash and class trophy.
Bring it to the track and save your Licence and Car/Bike from being confiscated, race with your mates in a controlled, safe environment and have fun!




Fast Friday Street Meets are a great way to try out drag racing and test the performance of your everyday street vehicle in a safe and legal environment that you can race the clock to measure your car/bikes performance or race against your mates no matter how fast or stock your vehicle is. Plus its a great atmosphere and environment to hang out amongst the hottest cars and bikes in melbourne on a friday night before going out.
Competition, ULTRA Fast Street Vehicles and Tech’d vehicles are required to PM (private message) the organisers to varify you may enter/run at Fast Friday Street Meets, keeping in mind this is a Street Car/Bike Fast Friday, however if you want to test your short times it may be perfect.
Yes you can pre enter (to be guaranteed a spot & completed entry form) or just pay at the gate on the day, however please dont complain if you miss out as we do cap numbers.
Calder Park DragRace Promotions is hosting street meets throughout 2026 so you can experience the thrill of Calder’s own quarter mile, usually on a Friday Night throughout Spring, Summer and Autumn, and Sundays during the winter.
Entry cost to race:
Street Car/Bike Entry – Pre Entry is $115 to Race, or $130 at the gate (cash only, untill sold out).

To go racing at street meets, all you need is a street vehicle that passes basic safety checks on tyres, brakes, steering and liquid leaks. Of course you need an approved Helmet, long pants and shirt (covered ankle to wrist) & enclosed footwear. If you race a Car/Vehicle with a manufacture date of pre 1 January 2008 you can run up to 10.50 seconds without the need for a tech inspection or IHRA Australia licence. Cars/Vehicles manufactured post 1 January 2008 can run up to 10.00 seconds without the need for a tech inspection or IHRA Australia license.
Motorcylces that are street registered and not modified may run slower than 9.50 seconds, any faster and you do require an IHRA Australia Tech and License as per above. Check for specific information on safety and licence requirements.
Passengers (only at Select events) must be 18 years of age or over. To ride as a passenger, a spectator ticket must be purchased as normal at the gate and an Passenger/indemnity form must be completed at Credentials (then get a Passenger Ride armband), Passengers need to be wearing the same safety gear as the driver (ie; helmet, full clothing, etc as above).
