King of the Hill
Appologies to all, unfortunately entry numbers across all classes arent what we need to be able to deliver and exxciting event for all. As such we have to postpone this one for next time and will be running a regular Fast Friday instead (check the Fast Friday Event page instead).
King of the Hill Grudge racing is back at Calder Park DragRacing Fri, 1st November 2024 . Yes the original and the best is back for #6 and you know it will be Super Exciting as usual!
This is as close to the USA based Friday night Grudge racing as possible which occurs at most tracks in the South, ie Run what Ya Brung, competitors are matched by drawing a number out of a bucket, competitors all put buy-in money to increase the prize pool and its pretty much “run what you brung and make sure its enough”.
Each class will race off – with the winner takes all ca$h paid on the night, on the start line (prize money based on16 entrants for each class). No late entries on the day – no exceptions – DO NOT CALL US WITH EXCUSES!
All competitors may make one test hit between 5pm and 6pm, and run each elimination round at the times scheduled with the Final to be run at 10:30pm SHARP). We will not be waiting for anyone, and if you are not in the lanes to run your round you will record a DNF/Loss for that round. The two competitors with the most wins will race the final round. If there are more than two competitors with equal wins (ie three or four), then the competitor/s with the fastest ET from the previous round shall go to the final, or closest dial in for DYO.
Plus Grudge Style VIP Start line experience (limited to the first 200 spectators), VIP Ticket mayt be purchased and by signing an indemnity form at Credentials. This will entitle you to exclusive start line viewing for this event and you are expected to follow the usual start line protocol. Plus, heaps of crowd giveaways throughout the event – listen to the PA for calls…
Spectator Adult entry is $35, and kids under 15 are free – all tickets available at the gate from 4pm onwards.
YES, there are limited spots available for normal street Test n Tune racers who dont want to be part of the competition part of the event. That means you can still race your car or bike throughout the night in between the racing and not miss out! Just enter below as there are no day entries.
