RollRacing is becoming more and more popular in Melbourne and to reward our fans and competitors a new series is being introduced “Summit RollRacing Champ Series ’25”, running throughout the year and culminating in the Summit RollRacing Nationals. Winners at each round will receive a cash prize & trophy, accumulating points at each round, with a Champion being crowned at the final round of the Summit RollRacing Nationals.
A big THANK YOU to our partners at Summit Racing Equipment for supporting us in making this happen and their contribution to some great prizes every round, please support them!
Each round awards points to the top ten competitors for each of the five rounds. Competitors must participate in at least three Rounds plus the RollRacing Nationals, to be eligible for the Summit RollRacing CHAMPION title. The competitor with the highest number of points at the end of the series will be the champion.
The winner of each round will be awarded with Summit RollRacing Champ ’25 Round Trophy + $500 Cash+ a Summit Racing Equipment $100USD gift voucher + RollRacing Hoodie & Cap PLUS 100 Points.
To compete in the series, we recommend getting an IHRA RollRacing Licence. Our friends at IHRA Australia are offering as a special offer an anual license for $70. This licence provides you with a permanent “Race number” and lets you join in other events at IHRA tracks across Australia. Additionally, it qualifies you to race the IHRA Australia Real Street Championship series (more news on this soon). IHRA Australia RollRacing License App

Pre-enter (via the Roll Racing event page) to be guaranteed a spot … or you can just pay at the gate on the day. However, no complaints pls if you miss out as numbers are capped as this is super popular. Plus pre enter and you already have your entry form completed saving you time on the day!
To race your vehicle, all you need is a street vehicle that passes basic safety checks on tyres, brakes, steering and liquid leaks. Of course you need an approved Helmet, long pants/shirt & enclosed footwear. Check out the rules at: https://www.ihra.com.au/ihra-roll-drags.html
Passenger Rides are allowed!
Passengers must be 18 years of age or over. To ride as a passenger, a spectator ticket must be purchased as normal at the gate and an indemnity form must be completed at Credentials (then get a passenger band), Passengers need to be wearing the same safety gear as the driver (ie; helmet, full clothing, etc). If you are stuck for a helmet we have some for sale at the Credentials office.
RollRacing Procedure & Rules:
- Want to race your mate? both line up behind each other in Lane 1, if you dont care who you run, you can line up in lanes 2&3.
- The 2 competitor cars/motorcycles will position themselves in the “STAGE AREA” as instructed by officials
- Upon the official’s signal, the 2 competitors will accelerate to approx 40kph staying side-by-side EVENLY toward the starting lights located approx 100m away (40KPH ZONE) – STAY SIDE BY SIDE !!!!
- The left lane sets the pace (this doesn’t mean left lane slows down or plays games), so the right lane tries to match their speed and stay together. Both lanes are expected to try and stay together.
- Race controll will disqualify any competitor that apears to be unfair for any reason!
- When the green light flashes (not earlier), both vehicles then accelerate/race toward the finish line located approx 330 mtr. If you accelarate before the green you will be disqualified.
- IF YOU Don’t line up side by side or Jump before the green – You will forfeit your run and not be entitled a rerun! The race director has the best view of the startline and has the final call on this.
- The First vehicle across the finish line is the winner, indicated by flashing lights on the overhead boards.
- Cars will return on to the return road and be confirmed as the Winner by the officials and line up as directed. Each round winners will be stoped behind the startline to be paired up again & follow the Officials instructions. If you loose during Elimination, just line up again in the staging lanes and make runs as normal for the rest of the event as time permits.
Competition, ULTRA Fast Purpose Built Street Vehicles and Tech’d vehicles are not allowed at this event.

Check IHRA_Australia_Rules_Off_Street_Class_Regulations.pdf for specific information on tech and license requirements.
